First visit

What to expect when you walk in for the first time.

Step 1 — Before you arrive

Before you arrive

A short checklist so the visit runs smoothly and you can focus on the conversation, not the paperwork.

01

Book your slot

Reach us via WhatsApp on our main careline, call us, or use the contact form on this site. Share your concern, the branch you prefer, and a few time options. We will confirm your booking and any pre-visit notes.

02

What to bring

Your MyKad / IC, a list of any current medications and supplements, relevant medical history, and any previous treatment records (if applicable). If you wear glasses or have specific allergies, please bring those details too.

03

What to wear

Comfortable clothing is best. For facial assessments, come with minimal makeup. For body, pelvic or intimate consultations you may be asked to change into a clinic gown — we provide these. Plan for the treatment area to be easily accessible.

04

Pre-arrival prep

Hydrate well in the day or two before. Avoid alcohol and certain blood-thinning supplements before procedures (your doctor will flag specifics during booking). Plan to arrive 10 minutes early to complete intake forms unaided.

Step 2 — When you arrive

When you arrive

Our reception team — all female — will greet you, confirm your booking and walk you through a short intake form. The form covers basic details, your concern, current medications, allergies and previous procedures. Take your time; nothing on the form is required to be answered if you would prefer to discuss it face-to-face with the doctor instead.

Once your forms are complete, you will wait briefly in our reception lounge. Light refreshments are available. If you have brought a friend or partner, they are welcome to wait there too.

When the doctor is ready, you will be shown to a private consultation room. We use private rooms — not open cubicles — so that conversations stay confidential, especially for intimate or personal concerns.

Step 3 — Your consultation

Your consultation

A typical consultation runs 20 to 40 minutes and follows roughly this flow.

  1. Medical history review

The doctor will go through your intake form with you, ask clarifying questions, and check for anything that may affect treatment options — including allergies, medications, recent procedures or relevant medical conditions.

  2. Discussion of your concerns

You lead this part. Share what is bothering you, what you have tried, and what outcome you are hoping for. Our doctors take time to listen — there are no rushed slots.

  3. Examination (only if needed)

For some concerns the doctor will need to examine the area to give you accurate advice. Examinations are always with your consent, in a private room, by our female doctor. You may request a chaperone at any point.

  4. Treatment plan options

The doctor will explain the options available, what each involves, the recovery and any risks, and a sensible sequence if multiple sessions are appropriate. Outcomes vary between individuals — the doctor will be candid about what you can realistically expect.

  5. Transparent pricing

Before you decide, our team gives you a clear written quote covering the recommended plan. No hidden fees. There is no pressure to commit on the day — many patients book a return visit after taking time to think it over.

Step 4 — Privacy and confidentiality

Privacy and confidentiality

We handle every consultation as confidential medical information. Your records are stored securely in line with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA), and only authorised members of your care team can access them. Read the full details in our privacy policy.

All-female environment. Doctors, nurses and treatment-room staff are all female. This is a deliberate choice for patients who want a setting where discussing intimate, hormonal or sensitive concerns feels comfortable.

Private consultation rooms. Conversations and examinations happen behind a closed door, not in open cubicles. Anyone you bring with you stays with you only if you want them to.

Your right to pause. You can stop, ask questions, or step out at any point during a consultation or procedure. Your comfort is the priority.

Common questions for first-time patients

A few of the questions our careline team hears most often from first-time visitors. For more, see our full FAQ.

How long does a first visit usually take?
Plan for around 45 to 75 minutes for a first consultation. This includes intake paperwork, your discussion with the doctor, and any same-day assessment. Treatments performed on the same visit will add to the total time depending on the procedure.
Do I have to commit to a treatment on the first visit?
No. The first visit is primarily a conversation. Some patients choose to start a treatment on the same day if it is straightforward and they feel ready, but there is never any pressure. You are welcome to take time to think and book a follow-up.
Can I come in just to ask questions?
Yes. A consultation-only visit is perfectly fine, and many of our patients start that way. Our doctors are happy to walk you through options without expecting you to decide on the day.
Will the doctor examine me on the first visit?
Only if it is necessary to assess your concern, and only with your consent. Examinations always take place in a private treatment room and, for intimate or sensitive areas, are conducted by our female doctors with a female chaperone if you would like one.
Is the consultation private from family or a partner?
Yes. You decide who comes into the consultation room with you. Many patients prefer to consult on their own and brief their partner or family afterwards. Our reception is comfortable for accompanying friends or family while they wait.
What happens after my first visit?
You will leave with a clear summary of the doctor's findings, suggested options, and a transparent estimate. If you choose to proceed, the careline team will help you book follow-up sessions at your preferred branch and time.
