What it is
Breast Volume Enhancement at Klinik Amisi is a non-surgical injectable approach for women who have lost breast volume due to weight loss, breastfeeding, ageing or other physiological changes. It sits within our body pillar as a non-surgical alternative for patients who do not want — or are not suitable candidates for — implants or fat-transfer surgery.
The treatment is positioned around supporting the body’s own physiological volume processes over time, rather than placing a fixed surgical device or transferring tissue from elsewhere. It is offered to appropriate candidates after a full medical and breast assessment, including any relevant family or personal history.
A consultation is required before any first session. Our doctor will review your goals, medical history, breast health and any prior breast-related procedures or screening before recommending whether this treatment is appropriate, and will not proceed if it is not suitable.
How it works
The treatment is delivered through carefully placed injections in the targeted area, with the aim of supporting the body’s own volume restoration processes over the weeks following each session. Because the response is biological and progressive rather than mechanical or instant, visible changes typically build gradually across the recommended course.
This is in contrast to a surgical implant, which adds a fixed volume immediately, and to a fat-transfer procedure, which surgically harvests fat from another body area. The aim of breast volume enhancement here is supportive, gradual change that aligns with the body’s own processes. Individual results vary based on a number of physiological and lifestyle factors.
What to expect
Before your treatment
Your first visit begins with a consultation. We will discuss your goals, medical history, breast health, any prior breast procedures or screening, current medications and any allergies. We will also review whether your breast screening is current, in line with general medical recommendations, and whether any further assessment is needed before treatment can be considered.
During the session
The skin is cleansed and a topical numbing cream is usually applied before the injection. The doctor then administers the treatment using small, controlled placements into the targeted area. Sessions typically take around 30 to 60 minutes including preparation. You may feel mild stinging, pressure or discomfort during the procedure.
After your treatment
You may experience mild swelling, tenderness or bruising at the injection points — these usually settle over the following days. Wear a comfortable, supportive bra as advised. Avoid very hot showers, saunas and intense upper-body exercise for the first day or two, and follow any specific aftercare guidance from your doctor.
Recovery and downtime
For most patients, downtime is mild. Short-term swelling, tenderness and any bruising typically soften within a few days. Visible volume change builds gradually over the weeks following the session as the body’s own processes respond, and individual results vary.
Who is this for
Breast Volume Enhancement is typically considered by women who have noticed volume loss in the breasts after pregnancy and breastfeeding, weight loss, or with age, and who would like to explore a non-surgical option before considering surgery.
You may be a candidate if you have:
- Breast volume loss after weight loss, breastfeeding or with age
- An interest in a non-surgical alternative to implants or fat transfer
- Realistic expectations — supportive, gradual restoration rather than significant size change
- Up-to-date breast health screening as advised by your doctor
- Willingness to commit to a course and follow aftercare
- No active breast-related medical conditions or contraindications
Considerations and contraindications
This treatment is generally not offered to patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, who have an active breast-related medical condition under investigation or treatment, who have a personal history of breast cancer (without specific specialist clearance), who have active skin infection or open wounds in the treatment area, or who have certain autoimmune or bleeding conditions that need medical clearance first. Patients with significant volume loss who are seeking a major size change are typically better served by surgical options. Always disclose your full medical history, family history of breast disease, screening history and medications during consultation so the right approach — or no treatment at all — can be recommended.
