Thuzzle VT (Intimate RF)

Intimate radiofrequency treatment using the Italian-made Thuzzle platform — a non-surgical option for tissue tone, comfort and microcirculation.

What it is

Thuzzle VT is an intimate radiofrequency (RF) treatment offered at Klinik Amisi as part of the intimacy pillar. It uses the Thuzzle platform manufactured by GMV Medical Innovation in Italy, with a probe designed to be used in the vaginal canal. The system delivers controlled RF thermal energy in both monopolar and bipolar modes, with an intended tissue target temperature in a controlled range.

The treatment is offered for selected concerns including post-natal vaginal laxity, mild atrophy and dryness symptoms, and mild stress urinary incontinence. It is non-surgical and non-ablative — there is no incision and no removal of tissue. As with any intimate treatment, suitability depends on a proper medical assessment.

A consultation with our doctor is required before the first session. We will review your medical and gynaecological history, perform any necessary examination, discuss your goals and confirm whether Thuzzle VT is appropriate for you. The treatment is not a substitute for the diagnosis and management of underlying gynaecological conditions.

How it works

The Thuzzle probe delivers radiofrequency energy in a controlled pattern to the tissue of the vaginal canal. RF heats the deeper layers of the tissue while the surface is monitored to remain within a tolerable range. The intended effect is a localised tissue response that supports collagen activity, microcirculation and tissue elasticity over the weeks following each session.

Because the probe operates through both monopolar and bipolar modes, energy can be directed to deeper or more superficial layers depending on the area being treated. The treatment does not deliver hormones and works through a localised tissue response rather than a systemic mechanism.

What to expect

Before your treatment

Your first visit includes a consultation with our doctor, a review of your medical and gynaecological history and an internal examination if appropriate. An up-to-date Pap smear and clearance for any active vaginal, vulval or cervical infection is generally required. Please tell us if you are or could be pregnant, have any abnormal bleeding, have an implanted electronic device such as a pacemaker, or have a metallic intrauterine device — RF treatments require these to be reviewed individually.

During the session

You will be positioned similarly to a routine gynaecological examination. The Thuzzle probe is gently inserted and slowly moved to deliver RF energy in a controlled pattern. Most patients describe a warming sensation rather than pain, and topical anaesthesia is generally not required. The active treatment portion typically takes 30 to 40 minutes.

After your treatment

You can usually leave the clinic immediately and return to most daily activities. We ask patients to avoid sexual intercourse for approximately 2 to 3 days, and to avoid hot baths, swimming, sauna and vigorous exercise for at least 24 to 48 hours. Mild discharge or light spotting in the first day or two is uncommon but possible and generally settles on its own.

Recovery and downtime

Thuzzle VT is considered a low-downtime treatment for most patients. There is no surgical incision and no general anaesthesia, and most patients return to work and gentle daily activities the same day. Mild local warmth or short-lived sensitivity in the first 24 to 48 hours is the most commonly reported experience. Anything beyond this — heavier bleeding, fever, increasing pain, abnormal discharge or signs of infection — should be reported to the clinic promptly. Tissue response typically continues to evolve for several weeks after each session, and individual results vary.

Who is this for

Thuzzle VT is typically considered for patients who have specific concerns assessed by a doctor, where a non-surgical option is appropriate and realistic expectations can be discussed.

You may be a candidate if you:

  • Are at least 3 months post-vaginal-delivery and have been cleared by your obstetrician
  • Are post-menopausal with symptoms of mild dryness or atrophy
  • Have mild stress urinary incontinence and want to explore non-surgical options
  • Prefer an RF energy-based treatment over a laser-based option
  • Want to incorporate RF into a wider plan such as HIFEM pelvic floor sessions or Vaginal Rejuvenation Laser
  • Understand that results vary, are not guaranteed, and that maintenance may be needed

Considerations and contraindications

Thuzzle VT is not suitable during pregnancy or while actively trying to conceive. It is also not appropriate for patients with active vaginal, vulval, cervical or urinary infection, undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, known or suspected gynaecological cancer, or with implanted electronic devices such as pacemakers or implanted defibrillators. A metallic intrauterine device requires individual review before treatment. Severe uterovaginal prolapse, recent vaginal surgery, an abnormal recent Pap smear or uncontrolled diabetes are situations requiring individual review. Always disclose your full medical and gynaecological history, current medications and any implanted devices at consultation. Our doctor will confirm whether the treatment is appropriate for you and ensure you have given full informed consent before any session.

Frequently asked questions

What is Thuzzle VT?
Thuzzle VT is an intimate radiofrequency treatment delivered through a probe designed for use in the vaginal canal. The Thuzzle platform is manufactured by GMV Medical Innovation in Italy. The device delivers controlled RF energy to support a localised tissue response and is offered at Klinik Amisi as part of our intimacy pillar.
How is RF different from vaginal laser?
Both are energy-based, non-surgical options, but they use different technologies. Laser delivers light-based fractional energy, while Thuzzle VT delivers radiofrequency thermal energy in monopolar and bipolar modes. Some patients are more suitable for one than the other. Our doctor will recommend the appropriate option after your consultation.
Is the treatment painful?
Most patients describe a warming sensation rather than pain. Topical anaesthesia is generally not required, and the device is set to operate at a target tissue temperature in a controlled range. If you have particularly sensitive tissue or any concerns, please discuss this during your consultation.
How many sessions will I need?
A typical course is 3 to 4 sessions, scheduled approximately 2 to 4 weeks apart. Some patients choose periodic maintenance sessions afterwards. Your doctor will recommend a plan based on your assessment and goals.
When will I see a difference?
Some women report initial changes within a few weeks of starting their course, with further changes typically continuing for several weeks after the final session. Individual responses vary significantly and results are not guaranteed.
Are there any side effects?
Common short-term effects can include mild warmth, light spotting or discharge for 24 to 48 hours. Less common effects include localised tenderness or transient sensitivity. We will go through the full risk discussion as part of informed consent.
Can I combine Thuzzle VT with other intimate treatments?
Yes — it is often incorporated into a broader plan that may include HIFEM pelvic floor sessions, Vaginal Rejuvenation Laser or PRP. Any combination plan is designed by your doctor and tailored to your situation.
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on the recommended plan and any package options. Please consult our team for current rates.
