What it is
Luhilo is a Korean injectable skin booster offered at Klinik Amisi within the skin pillar. It combines hyaluronic acid in two molecular weights — high and low — with peptides, in a single formulation designed to support skin hydration, smoothness and overall quality.
It is offered in two variants. Luhilo Basic is the standard formulation suited to patients focused on general hydration and skin quality. Luhilo Snow is a variant that leans more towards brightening goals, often considered for patients with uneven tone or dullness as a primary concern.
A consultation is required before the first session. Our doctor will review your skin condition, medical history and goals before recommending whether Luhilo is appropriate, which variant suits you, and which areas to treat.
How it works
Luhilo is delivered into the upper layers of the skin using fine needles. Once in place, the high molecular weight hyaluronic acid component supports surface smoothness and acts as a hydrating reservoir, while the lower molecular weight component can move more freely within the dermis to support deeper hydration. The peptides included in the formula may encourage the skin’s own collagen and fibroblast activity over time.
The combined outcome across most patients is a gradual improvement in hydration, surface texture and the overall look of skin quality, rather than a sudden change in face shape or volume.
What to expect
Before your treatment
Your first visit begins with a consultation. We will discuss your skin concerns, medical history, current skincare, any past injectable treatments and any medications including blood thinners. To reduce the risk of bruising, we may suggest avoiding fish oil, high-dose vitamin E and similar supplements for several days before your session, where it is safe to do so.
During the session
The skin is cleansed and a topical numbing cream is usually applied for around 20 to 30 minutes. The doctor then injects Luhilo across the planned area using small, controlled placements. Sessions typically take 30 to 45 minutes including numbing time. You may feel mild stinging or pressure during the injections.
After your treatment
You may see small bumps at the injection points immediately afterwards — this is expected with most skin boosters and usually settles within 24 to 48 hours. Mild redness, swelling or pinpoint bruising is also possible. Avoid heavy makeup for the rest of the day, and skip strenuous exercise, saunas and very hot showers for 24 hours. Daily broad-spectrum SPF 50+ is part of the long-term plan.
Recovery and downtime
For most patients, downtime is mild. Surface bumps typically soften within a day or two, while any bruising can take a few days longer to fade. Avoid strong actives, exfoliants and facial massage for at least 48 hours, and follow your doctor’s specific aftercare advice. Improvement in skin quality builds gradually over the course of sessions, and individual results vary.
Who is this for
Luhilo is typically considered by adults who want to support skin hydration, smoothness and quality over time, rather than seek a sudden visual change. It suits patients comfortable with injectable treatments and willing to follow a structured plan.
You may be a candidate if you have:
- Dehydrated, tired-looking or uneven skin
- Early signs of fine lines or loss of bounce
- A goal of supporting skin quality gradually rather than adding volume
- Willingness to commit to a course and follow aftercare
- Realistic expectations about gradual, cumulative change
- No active skin infection or contraindicating medical conditions
Considerations and contraindications
Luhilo is generally not offered to patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, who have active skin infection, open wounds or cold sores in the treatment area, who have a history of severe allergic reactions to any component of the product, or who have certain autoimmune or bleeding conditions that need medical clearance first. Recent dental work, acute illness or planned major events within a few days of the session may also lead our doctor to reschedule. Always disclose your full medical history, medications and supplements during consultation so the right product — or no treatment at all — can be recommended.
